AFC Fylde moved out of the National League relegation zone after coming from behind to beat Hartlepool 2-1.

Pools went ahead just four minutes into the match when David Ferguson’s free-kick smashed off the woodwork before bouncing into the net.

However, Fylde responded only eight minutes later when Gavin Massey unleashed a powerful effort into the top corner to level.

An entertaining start to the game continued as Ferguson nearly earned his second when another dangerous free-kick was tipped over the bar but Charlie Jolley smashed the ball home in the 19th minute to put the Coasters ahead.

Ben Winterbottom made two good saves to deny Gary Madine before the break and the goalkeeper made another good save from Sam Folarin as Fylde held on to earn their third win in six games.
