Andy Whing described Barrow as “brilliant” after their 2-1 comeback victory over MK Dons.
Scott Hogan opened the scoring for the visitors but saw his early effort quickly cancelled out by Kian Spence’s volley.
Kyle Cameron secured successive home wins for the Bluebirds as they opened up a 14-point cushion over the relegation zone.
After his side secured back-to-back wins for the first time since September, Whing said: “I’m absolutely delighted. I thought the lads were brilliant.
“We’ve got a really good group. We’re some team if we get it right. It’s just confidence and self belief.
“I’m delighted with the performance, but ultimately the three points is the most important thing.
“I was delighted we responded immediately after the goal. I think it’s only the second time this season we have come from behind and won.
“We made it a little bit too easy for them in the first half. I think (Robbie) Gottsy summed up our performance. Dan Crowley’s one of the best players in the league. First half he ran the show a little bit in terms of dictating play.
“I made Gottsy go man-to-man in the second half and I don’t think Crowley liked it very much.
“It was really important to follow Saturday’s win up. After the Grimsby game we lost the next two so it was really important.
“It was probably the least we’ve created for the five games I’ve been here but we were clinical.”
The visitors slumped to a third straight defeat, and sixth in an eight-game run which has seen just one win.
Dons boss Scott Lindsey, after a fourth straight away loss, admitted: “It’s just where we are at the moment.
“There were signs of a really good team. I thought we could have asked more questions of them, but it wasn’t to be and it wasn’t enough.
“I just think we’re in a transitional period. We’ve had a hell of a lot of new players come in.
“It’s not a lack of effort from the players at all. Everyone’s saying ‘where’s the effort?’. You can clearly see the effort’s there.
“We aren’t the finished article yet. It’s about getting together and getting around the troops.
“Once we win a game, I think we’ll go on and win a lot. I feel for the fans because they’ve travelled a hell of a long way and spent a lot of money.
“It was a real sucker punch to concede so quickly after the goal. We spoke about scoring earlier. We speak about it all the time that at this level of football the team that scores first tends to go on and win it.
“We weren’t professional enough to continue with that scoreline for a longer period.”
