Boston’s National League clash with Southend was abandoned after just seven minutes due to heavy fog at the Jakemans Community Stadium.

The teams kicked off at 7.45pm as planned but it quickly became apparent that conditions were unplayable as visibility on the pitch continued to deteriorate.

Referee Craig Hicks led the players off and any hopes of a restart were shelved after no improvement during a half-hour delay.
