Bromley made it three consecutive wins with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Harrogate at Hayes Lane.

First-half goals from leading scorer Michael Cheek and Jude Arthurs were enough to seal all three points for the Ravens.

The game took quite some time to spring into life, with Adam Mayor’s 19th-minute free-kick which struck the Harrogate crossbar the first moment of quality.

At the other end Warren Burrell should have done better when he skied his effort despite being well set in the penalty area.

The opening goal when it arrived came from a familiar Bromley source. Cameron Congreve’s left-wing cross on the half-hour mark was met with a towering header from Cheek for his 16th league goal of the season.

Bromley repeated the trick on the stroke of half-time to double their lead. This time Cheek nodded Mayor’s left-wing cross back across goal for Arthurs to head in.

The second half saw very little by way of goalmouth action as Bromley were content to hold on to their lead and Harrogate failed to produce a meaningful effort on goal.

The victory moves Bromley up to 10th in League Two.
