Ebbsfleet’s miserable National League season continued with a 2-0 defeat at fellow strugglers Fylde.
It was the Kent club’s 14th league reversal this term and they are six points adrift at the basement.
Fylde dominated the first half, with Nick Haughton twice going close, and they broke the deadlock after 56 minutes when Charlie Jolley fired high into the net.
Ebbsfleet’s stubborn resistance was finally broken and Fylde made certain of maximum points and a sixth league win when Jon Ustabasi doubled their lead in the 71st minute.
Fylde’s victory took them out of the bottom four, leapfrogging Maidenhead, Braintree and Wealdstone.
