Fylde are a point from safety in the National League after they were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Dagenham.

Rafiq Khaleel broke the deadlock for Lewis Young’s visitors when he got on the end of a far-post cross from Shiloh Remy to put Dagenham in front, late in the first half.

And that is the way it stayed until 20 minutes from time when Will Hugill collected the ball at a short corner and curled a wonderful effort into the top corner to level the match.

Hugill might have won it late on when he cut inside into a good position but lashed his effort over the crossbar, as Fylde remained 22nd.
