Mansfield scored a late equaliser at Stevenage to earn a 1-1 draw in League One but could not prevent their winless run extending to 13 games.

A 44th-minute goal from Jamie Reid had seemingly taken the three points for Boro but Jordan Rhodes levelled nine minutes from time.

Neither side were able to get much forward momentum going in a poor first half, with passing going awry far too often.

But just before the teams departed, a hooked effort across goal was bundled in at the far post by Reid, his second in two games.

Mansfield had won a number of corners in the first half but the goal seemed to rock them and it was Boro who were the quicker out of the blocks in the second period.

Dan Kemp and Brandon Hanlan got in each other’s way on one attack while Jordan Roberts headed wide from a Dan Butler corner.

Baily Cargill had a rare attempt for the Stags but then the defender was lucky to just get a yellow when he brought down Roberts as he went in on goal.

Kemp hit a post not long after but Rhodes was given time and space to pick his spot as his 81st-minute equaliser claimed the visitors a draw.
