James Gale’s stoppage-time goal earned Boston a 2-1 home win over Sutton and lifted his side out of the relegation zone.

Gale struck in the second minute of added time after Sutton’s Will Davies had cancelled out Jai Rowe’s opener for Boston before half-time as the Pilgrims clinched their fifth win in their last six matches.

Rowe smashed home the opening goal in the 23rd minute following Brad Nicholson’s huge throw-in before Davies headed the visitors level six minutes later.

Davies squandered the chance to put Sutton in front from the penalty spot in the 77th minute when Boston goalkeeper Cameron Gregory produced a fine save and Gale snatched all three points following Cameron Green’s late free-kick.
