Liverpool could wrap up the Premier League title on Sunday while several teams around the country may have their relegations confirmed this weekend.

Here, the PA news agency looks at all the permutations.

Victory for Liverpool over Leicester would be enough to take Arne Slot’s side into an unassailable lead should second-placed Arsenal follow up their Champions League conquering of Real Madrid by losing to Ipswich.

With five more games to play after that point, it would see the Reds break their own Premier League record set under former manager Jurgen Klopp in 2019-20 when they clinched the title with four games to spare.

It would also see Leicester officially relegated – and even if they pull off a shock win, it may not be enough. The Foxes’ fate would still be sealed if West Ham and Wolves also win, against Southampton and Manchester United respectively.

Ipswich could also be down on Sunday – if West Ham and Wolves both win, Town would have to do likewise to delay the inevitable.

It is possible for the title and all three relegation places to be set in stone with four games remaining, which would be the earliest those issues have all been decided in a Premier League season.

Ipswich playing Arsenal, though, means the record cannot extend to five games as either their relegation fight or the Gunners’ title chase will mathematically extend beyond this weekend.

Southampton, already relegated, need two points from their remaining six games to get past Derby’s record low Premier League points total of 11 from 2007-08.

– Birmingham are already confirmed as League One champions but there will be no other promotions in the Good Friday fixtures.

Port Vale could clinch their passage out of League Two on Easter Monday with at least one win coupled with dropped points for their nearest rivals.

– League One’s bottom two, Shrewsbury and Cambridge, could both be relegated on Friday, with the Shrews already 12 points adrift of safety with only 12 to play for – they need to win all four of their remaining games, coupled with four defeats for Bristol Rovers, five for Burton and a 19-goal swing over the latter.

– Cambridge will be down on Friday if they lose at Huddersfield, Rovers beat Wrexham and Burton beat Exeter. Crawley, a point better off than Cambridge, will take their fight to at least Monday.

– In League Two, Morecambe will be relegated if they lose to Bromley on Friday and Accrington and Tranmere both win, against Salford and Doncaster respectively. Carlisle are only a point off the bottom but, similarly to Crawley, their fate cannot be sealed until Monday at the earliest.

– Nothing will be settled in the Championship on Friday, though if Sheffield United lose to Cardiff it could open the door for Leeds, Burnley or both to clinch promotion on Monday, when the Blades play the Clarets.
