Maidenhead picked up a valuable point in their National League relegation battle after playing out a 1-1 draw at fellow-strugglers Wealdstone.

Brendan Kiernan gave the visitors an early lead when he latched onto Kane Ferdinand’s cut-back and tucked the ball home in the fourth minute.

It was all square – six minutes before the break – after Kallum Cesay’s sharp effort caught the crossbar before going in.

Neither side was able to add to their tally after the restart, leaving the hosts two points clear of the drop zone and Maidenhead four from safety, with two matches remaining.
