MK Dons came from behind to beat struggling Morecambe 2-1 and pick up a first win in eight League Two matches.

Lee Angol put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot, but Luke Offord and Danilo Orsi scored to win the game for the home side.

Victory was the Dons’ first since late January, while Morecambe remain in the relegation zone, four points from safety.

Alex Gilbey was denied by Harry Burgoyne early on before Connal Trueman kept out Morecambe midfielder Callum Cooke.

Orsi then saw one shot hit the side-netting and another denied by Burgoyne.

Morecambe took the lead in the 37th minute. Angol was brought down by home goalkeeper Trueman before he scored the penalty for his second goal in as many games.

But the Shrimpers led for just five minutes as Offord headed home from Dan Crowley’s free-kick.

MK Dons took the lead in the 64th minute when Orsi converted the rebound after Burgoyne had denied Gilbey.

Morecambe saw a late Marcus Dackers goal disallowed for offside before Jordan Slew headed over in stoppage time.
