Peterborough pushed themselves five points clear of the relegation zone after a stalemate at draw specialists Blackpool.

Steve Bruce’s side were held to a point for a ninth time in their last 13 games.

Darren Ferguson’s outfit had the first real chance of the game as Sonny Carey saw his effort tipped past the post by Jed Steer.

Tayo Edun, who scored direct from a corner at the weekend, saw his deep cross hit the post.

Seasiders’ stopper Harry Tyrer was at full stretch to keep out Abraham Odoh shortly after the restart as the visitors looked to force an opener.

Malik Mothersille curled an effort over the bar before Hector Kyprianou was kept out by Tyrer at the near post.

Albie Morgan fired wide of the mark in the final 10 minutes.

Ricky-Jade Jones raced into space before firing his shot into the side netting.

Odoh squandered a big late chance to steal the points as he blasted over.
