Mbappe broke the deadlock after half an hour by cutting inside and slotting into the bottom corner before Vinicius netted in similar fashion following a mazy run with the help of a deflection off Andrei Ratiu.

Pedro Diaz halved the deficit with his first Rayo goal in first-half stoppage time.

Union Berlin stunned Eintracht Frankfurt with a 2-1 Bundesliga comeback win
Fourth-placed Frankfurt led after 13 minutes through Michy Batshuayi’s first goal for the club.
Union seized control in the second half with goals from Leopold Querfeld and Jeong Woo-yeong, and the shock victory was confirmed by Frederik Ronnow saving Hugo Ekitike’s penalty in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
