Southend strolled to a 4-0 win at relegated Ebbsfleet to stay in contention for the National League play-offs.

Charley Kendall’s calm finish gave the Shrimpers a 15th-minute lead, and Mark Cousins made an excellent save to prevent a second for Tom Hopper before half-time.

Oli Coker went close and created a chance which neither Gus Scott-Morriss nor Hopper could convert, before Coker himself doubled the lead in the 64th minute after being teed up by Jack Bridge.

Macaulay Bonne and Josh Walker had been on the pitch less than 10 minutes before combining for Bonne to score the third before Walker added his own name to the scoresheet late on.
