Woking claimed a first National League home win since New Year’s Day by beating Solihull 1-0.

Matt Ward produced the decisive moment by heading in Frank Vincent’s 18th-minute cross, his first league goal since November.

Bradley Stevenson was inches away from giving Solihull a fifth-minute lead with his well-struck effort shaking the Woking crossbar.

Vincent’s clever back heel almost set up a second for Woking, but Inih Effiong was just unable to apply the finishing touch.

The Cards’ victory lifted them eight points clear of the relegation zone.
